The Law Offices of Alice K. Berke was founded in 1989 to combine aggressive legal representation with a warm, personable atmosphere for clients. The firm consists of its founder, Alice K. Berke, who has been in practice since 1986, senior associate attorney, Frederick P. Korkosz, and associate attorney, Mary T. Colwell. The Law Offices also maintain an established Internship program with most of the local Colleges and Universities that has provided valuable experience and training to over 100 prospective attorneys.

The firm engages in the practice of civil and criminal litigation in the Federal, State and Local court systems. Our standard of excellence is broader than that of other practices, as it encompasses excellence in business as well as excellence in the profession, i.e. superior customer service, problem solving skills and honest self promotion. The Law Offices of Alice K. Berke prides itself on the large number of clients who return to consult with us on a wide variety of matters and the many new clients that result from referrals from our many satisfied clients.

Since people who need legal advice are often intimidated by the formality of law offices, we made sure to create a comfortable environment. Our attorneys and offices project a down-to-earth straightforward image, even down to the occasional presence of a cuddly office dog. Visitors pass by an eye-level bulletin board containing photographs of us engaged in leisure activities. Our clients disclose the intimate details of their personal and financial lives to us. They should feel they know us too. Most lawyers have lost this "human touch". Really knowing our clients leads to more effective representation.

We spend a significant amount of time bringing law to the community because legal empowerment starts with education.
